Helix - Between modernity and heritage
If there were a poll of Luxembourg's fastest growing and most impressive architectural practices in recent years, Metaform would probably be at the top of our shortlist. Based in the heart of Luxembourg City, the firm has enjoyed a remarkable rise, marked by an exceptional competition win in 2016. Metaform was entrusted with the design of Post Luxembourg's new headquarters, located opposite the Luxembourg capital's main railway station.
The client, one of the country's largest employers, was won over by the way the architects succeeded in integrating their vision into the existing urban fabric. The result? The new headquarters, named Helix, open onto the lively Place de la Gare crossroads, and have become an iconic landmark in the city. Since its handover at the end of 2022, this office building has housed 900 employees in 27,700 m², offering a versatile, user-friendly space. The building features a large open atrium and several communal areas where employees can collaborate, work and relax.
